Amazing treat

The entire stay was amazing , all staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable .We were lucky to meet Ms. Marvel who made our stay marvelous .Visiting this hotel had been on my list for 8 years after watching the famous series and i admit I wasnt disappointed . Make sure to dine at 1902 it is beautiful. The hotel is indeed on the pricy side , if you can treat yourself then it is worth it :) .One of the best hotels I had ever stayed in and I had been to quite a few luxury hotels .

The one disadvantage is that eventually you have to leave :)

Perfect hotel

Excellent stay at the prestige suite with nile view! I booked the suite for the first night as my original plan was to get on the cruise the next day. However, there was a mix up with cruise date and the suite was not available for the second day at the time of booking so I booked the king's room which was $400 cheaper than the suite. When I was at the hotel, the staff offered me the suite for the 2nd day without charging the price difference! All staff were very friendly, the restaurants are magnificent. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back! Make sure you get a room with nile view, I literally just sat at the balcony admiring the river the entire afternoon haha. Breathtaking.

This was an epic place to stay. Fantastic pool, excellent service in all aspects. Had a tour of the suite where Winston Churchill stayed and the 1920 restaurant. The place is beautiful. We could only afford one night but it was a once in a lifetime experience and we loved it.

A truly legendary and unique hotel!

Huge surprise! An amazing place, full of beautiful furniture and history. You can feel the spirit of travelers everywhere. You can travel back in time in a very elegant style. This is a great start to get into the explorer's spirit before embarking on a criuse tour of the Nile. Amazing swimming pool, wonderful view of the river and a very good breakfast in the beautiful interior of the restaurant. One of the few hotels in the world to which I will gladly return.

I love the location and the hotel is beautiful! The views are outstanding. Nice people, clean beautiful hotel, the best one in Aswan, if you ask me. The spa is also great!

The staff is quite fast... My room service arrived after 2 hours, so it did for many of my friends ( the fastest was 1.5 hours). I asked for an iron to iron my clothes, and they brought a broken one after 50 minutes and 4 phone calls. And the quality of the food, besides the lentil soup, was a bit over cooked

What to say about this Hotel ? Yes, it’s expensive, but I can describe it in just one word -> AWESOME !

There is just nothing to not like. We had a free tour of the Hotel with a guide about Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill. The pool inside was fantastic, the pool outside even better.

Truly magnificent and heavenly Old Cataract

Travelling to Egypt for the first time with our 7 year old daughter who is autistic can be challenging. The hotel and staff, especially Marvel of guest relations and Mahamud of Terrace restaurant, went beyond their way to exceed our expectations. We stayed for 1 night as suggested by travel blogs. The Old Cataract was truly magnificent, and It doesn't justify to have stayed here for a short time We are definitely coming back to the old cataract to for more days during our next visit.

Exquisite, to say the least. Aswan has always been a favourite and staying at the Old Cataract in the heart of the Nubian region was exceptional. The staff could not have been more professional, courteous and hospitable. Will definitely come again - I highly recommend this place for a luxurious, indulgent experience. Special thank you to Monsieur Hossam Ahmed, Mariam Ataf, Monsieur Abdelaziz, Monsieur Mostafa, Monica and Monsieur Mohammed at the promenade, as well as the staff and therapists at the spa. I wish I could remember every single name, all of you were so very warm and welcoming. The complementary tour at the Old Cataract was splendid and guided by the wonderful Monsieur Ahmed Rashad, who was both entertaining and knowledgeable.
